Elevation Point Names New Board Members

Emigrant announces some comings and goings from its board. The US firm recently announced a strategic minority investment in its own business.
Elevation Point, which takes strategic stakes in independent advisors, has appointed Eric Clarke, founding chief executive of Orion Advisor Solutions, and Mike Mikan, president and CEO of NeueHealth and former CFO of UnitedHealth Group, to join its board of directors.
Mikan, besides his NeueHealth roles, was previously executive vice president and CFO at UnitedHealth Group, CEO of Optum, interim CEO of Best Buy, and president of ESL Investments.
John Sabre, meanwhile, has retired as executive chairman. Sabre, who served as CEO and managing partner of Mount Yale prior to its acquisition by Elevation Point last year, remains an investor in the firm.
Greg Anderson, co-founder of Mount Yale and now chief investment officer at Elevation Point, is continuing to serve on the board.
Liz Nesvold, chair of Emigrant Partners, also joined the board as an observer in May following the announcement of Elevation Point's strategic minority investment from the firm. As part of the partnership, Emigrant established a significant senior debt facility to add extra fuel Elevation Point's expansion.
